Alcen secures its cyber strategy with Make IT Safe

ALCEN

Context

One of Alcen’s subsidiaries fell victim to CEO fraud in the summer of 2020. A temporary employee was asked to transfer very large sums to Mexico. The funds were never recovered. Leadership recognised the cyber risk and lifted it to a strategic priority.

Make IT Safe as the cybersecurity backbone

From the audits, Alcen received action plans to raise cyber maturity across subsidiaries. The platform gave each subsidiary a cyber maturity index and enabled IT directors to track recommended actions. The approach inspired other departments (HR, finance, quality).

Results

The results achieved

Unified policy

A unified security policy makes real sense for the group as a whole.

Monthly committees

Monthly coordination committees with subsidiary IT directors.

Self-audit

The goal is to self-audit while maximising internal resources.

“What matters is to test the product. You need to take the time for POCs and tests, and avoid rushing.”
Grégoire Aubry
