EDF: a successful GDPR compliance journey with Make IT Safe

EDF

Context

The EDF Group moved very early on personal-data protection and appointed its first Data Protection Officer back in 2006. In 2017, after substantial collaborative work, EDF ran a tender to equip itself with a register tool meeting the GDPR accountability requirement.

Co-building with the customer

Make IT Safe was chosen for its coverage of functional, technical and security criteria. A major strength: the ability to co-build a shared framework with the customer. Since 1 January 2019, Make IT Safe has been the EDF Group’s official compliance-steering tool.
